Celebrating 15 Years in Style

It was a pleasure to celebrate our 15th Anniversary with so many friends, clients and colleagues at our Southampton drinks reception last month.

Drinks Reception Southampton

This year E3 Consulting is celebrating its 15th anniversary. In that time E3 has generated more than £170 million of tax savings for clients since it was founded. We’ve achieved this large amount while advising clients on more than £1.9 billion of project expenditures.

Managing director Alun Oliver shared the figure at a celebratory reception for clients, professional contacts, suppliers and staff in Southampton’s world renowned Jazz venue The Concorde Club on Thursday 7th February.

He said: “Over the last two years alone our team has reviewed nearly £400 million of project values and saved our clients approximately £18 million.”

“Some of our more unique projects have included the Porsche Driver Experience Centre at Silverstone and the iconic Piccadilly Lights advertising space in central London for LandSec.

“We have also worked on a range of specialist logistics warehouses up and down the country and a tank farm for brewers Fullers Smith & Turner.”

Other projects have included amongst others visitor attractions, sports stadia, car dealerships, care homes, student halls of residence, retail outlets and supermarkets.

E3 Consulting, headquartered in Ocean Village and with another office in London, is an award winning independent property tax practice specialising in capital allowances, land remediation tax relief and VAT on real estate; advises clients throughout the UK.

Alun, who founded the firm in 2003, added: “Our principal service is capital allowances, but we additionally advise upon repairs and maintenance, land remediation, tax relief and VAT on property expenditure.

“We also have a growing service helping developers and home owners understand CIL – the Community Infrastructure Levy – and where possible how to mitigate or validate the CIL charges due on new housing projects.”

Director and co-founder, Nicky Oliver, spoke of the community, charity, coaching and mentoring aspects of life at E3 Consulting, and commented that the ethos of the business has always been to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients, professionals, suppliers and the wider business community.

She said: “We are a business where our values are being collaborative, honesty, transparency and delivering consistent quality work and are kept real and fresh day to day.

“As a business we have always encouraged our staff to broaden their horizons and experiences to develop both their additional skills and experiences. Zoe and Todd, both are currently undertaking degree apprenticeships, have established proactive and strong working relationships with Solent University and the University of Portsmouth, respectively.

“Not to mention excellent contributions in both their studies and wider commercial awareness – Zoe achieving first class honours with her Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship and Todd averaging 95% this year in his Chartered Surveyor Apprenticeship!

“All the team regularly attend a variety of networking groups and virtually all have been involved in mentoring students from central London and regional universities including City & Greenwich, as well as Solent, Southampton and Reading – and local schools”

E3 Consulting toasted their guests and looked forward to the ‘next 15 years’ of helping their clients manage and optimise their available tax incentives from both their personal and commercial property expenditure.  We will be hosting further events in London and Dorset this year to celebrate with those clients and contacts unable to attend at the Concorde Club.
