Specialist speakers announced for CIL webinar panel discussion

E3 Consulting’s next Property Taxation Webinar taking place on Thursday June 10 will put the much-misunderstood Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) in the spotlight.

CIL webinar May 2021

Panel Webinar

The webinar will take the form of a panel discussion titled ‘CIL - Practical Challenges that Developers and Private Clients Face’.

Experts from different disciplines will join E3 Consulting Managing Director Alun Oliver for the session from 1pm to 2.30pm.

The specialist multi-disciplinary panel of speakers joining Alun has been confirmed and will feature:

  • Colin Peacock - Co-founder and Director of Swallowfield Homes Ltd
  • Matt Gilks - Senior Associate Solicitor of Thrings LLP
  • Duncan McLeod - Founder and Principal of Studio McLeod
  • Helen Rosier - Principal Practitioner of Tanner & Tilley Planning Consultants

They will provide key insights into the practical reality of the challenges that private clients, housing developers and their project advisers face with CIL – including the importance of engaging advisors as early as possible in a project to gain the necessary exemptions and save money.

There will also be project case studies to illustrate best practice, advice on managing your compliance with these complex Regulations, minimisation of project risk, optimisation of savings and ways of boosting cash flow.

The webinar will be of benefit to a wide range of people, including developers, housebuilders, families undertaking a new build or major home extension/basement/annex and high net worth individuals.

It will also be of interest to professionals such as solicitors, surveyors, architects and planning consultants and shall allow interaction between the attendees and the panel to address project specific questions and clarify any aspects of the CIL Regulations
